Why an aluminium ramp?
A ramp is the most direct solution for a height difference at your door, entrance or vehicle. Where a threshold strip stops at a few centimetres, a ramp truly comes into its own: for higher thresholds, steps and more complex situations.
Aluminium is the ideal material for access ramps. It's light enough to move, strong enough to carry 400 kg, and will not rust — even after years of outdoor use. MIOR uses 6082-T6 aluminium, a structural grade also used in marine and aerospace engineering.

What are ramps used for?
Threshold access at the front door
The most common application. A ramp bridges the height difference at your front door, so you can enter and leave independently with a wheelchair or scooter.
Access to garden and terrace
The step to your garden, terrace or balcony is too high for a simple threshold strip. A ramp provides a safe, stable transition.
Shops, restaurants and offices
Temporary or semi-permanent wheelchair access at business entrances. No drilling, quick to deploy and easy to remove.
Care facilities
Daily intensive use by multiple residents. MIOR ramps are built for this workload — 400 kg, anti-slip, weather-resistant.
Vehicles and care transport
Permanently mounted ramps for vans and care vehicles. The MIOR DRIVE model is purpose-built for vehicle installation.

Aluminium or rubber?
Rubber ramps are cheaper and suitable for low thresholds up to about 5–7 cm. They're flexible but deform under heavy loads and wear out faster with daily use or outdoor conditions.
Aluminium ramps are stronger, lighter per unit of load capacity, and rust-proof. MIOR uses 6082-T6 aluminium — a structural grade also used in marine engineering. The result: a ramp that carries 400 kg, lasts for years and requires no maintenance.
For thresholds above 7 cm, daily use or powered wheelchairs and scooters, aluminium is the better choice.
